 The New Cable Lock is a slot made in the Winch Saver so that the Winch Saver can be locked onto the cable during the winching process. This is realy important when winching at steep angles. The cable lock is also a big help when respooling the winch line. When respooling 100 ft. of cable you tend to get tired, if you let go of the cable to take a break the cable on the spool will absorb a lot of slack (Bird Nest). Need a break when respooling? Simply lock the Winch Saver onto the cable at the fairlead and take a break.
